Books

In addition to four books on Noah's Ark and Aratta, I've written eight on Christian topics, two on family history, and one on Sumerian gods and religion.

The Aratta Series

Seven Mountains to Aratta (Book 1)

  • Presents my Seven Mountains route and location of Aratta

  • Godin Tepe as Aratta

  • Connected Aratta with biblical Ararat and “Noah’s” Ark

  • Alvand Mountain as the landing site of “Noah’s” Ark

  • Tomb of Shem on Alvand

  • Noah’s Altar on Alvand

  • Stone enclosures near the summit of Alvand

  • Parau Mountain as Mashu

  • Cedar Forest & Mountain

  • Cave of Lugalbanda

  • Tower of Babel at Girsu

  • Genesis 11:2 that people migrated from the Zagros Mountains to the east into Shinar.

  • Japheth’s son Madai stayed behind with Shem and his family on or near the mountain the Ark landed.

The Mountainous Gateway to Aratta (Book 2)

  • Highlights a site discovered just before Mountain Gate 5 on the way to Aratta that should be explored, since it could be a fort connected with Aratta or possibly the remains of ancient Anshan, currently identified with Tal-e Maylan.

  • Provide reasons why Maylan may not be the site of Anshan

  • Summary of Sumerian/Akkadian descriptions of the Flood and reed Ark

  • Conjecture if the site could be the remains of the Ark

  • Weather and drift patterns showing the direction and distance the Ark likely traveled

  • Post-Flood population growth

Barrier of Inanna (Book 3)
Focuses on the archaeological site of Godin Tepe as Aratta, and in particular, the 3000 BC Oval Enclosure at Level VI:2.

The Barrier of Inanna is only mentioned in the Sumerian clay tablets of Enmerkar and the Lord of Aratta. A story depicting a conflict between the leaders of Uruk and Aratta. The narrative conveys that the BOI is an impenetrable fortress, protected by the goddess Inanna, which serves to guard Aratta. The sling stones discovered at Godin Tepe strongly indicate that it was a fortress.

My first book on the search for Noah's Ark, The Explorers of Ararat, includes chapters by expedition leaders. Although it's out of print, First and Second Edition copies are still available online, and Rex Geissler offers a Third Edition at noahsarksearch.com.

For anyone still interested in the search for Noah's Ark on Mount Ararat, this 400+ page volume serves as a comprehensive encyclopedia of past expeditions.
